Acolytes
Abba: Gerald Richard
The Acolyte Ministry is a way for
young people to participate in the worship services of our church. To become an acolyte, one must be at
least eight years of age and in the third grade. It is a very special privilege
to hold the office of acolyte, and proper decorum and respect should be
maintained at all times while serving.

Our Altar Guild does not just
prepare the church for Sunday services. They also make sure that everything is
in order when we have midweek services and special services such as funerals and
weddings. We are very grateful for the faithful attention of this group that
always makes sure that our Church is beautifully prepared for each and every
event.

Christian Education
Director: Cathy Smith
We will be studying the life of Jesus as he perpares for his ministry. Since Easter is late this year, we have the time to continue with the Old Testament and the Ten Commandments as an example of how to treat others in our daily lives. Hopefully, we will begin our older student class this month. Thank you so much for all the gifts we are receiving from the Silk Purse.

ECW's Prayer
Almighty God, Heavenly Father, source of all knowledge and truth, be present with each of us meeting together as the Women of the Episcopal Church. Grant us open minds, compassionate hearts, honest words and gentle ways. Give us the grace to know your will, the courage to accept it and the strength to accomplish it. May we not forget the lessons from the past nor fear the challenges of the future. Bless us with your peace today and all the days to come, and may we ever pray, "Thy will be done". I attended the quarterly board meeting for the Episcopal Church Women of the Diocese of Texas at Camp Allen the 20th and 21st of January. There were about 20 people in attendance and one of the hot topics was to be the Trees for the Galveston which is a high priority for our group. We will be asking for a donation of $100.00 from each E.C.W. in the Diocese. We already have a $500.00 donation from a retired priest in North Texas.

Over
55 Group
Leader: John McCulley
The Over 55's have played a significant role in the
renovation of our buildings, doing a good deal of the work to make Molhusen
usable as a temporary church office and sacristy and now a beautiful Scout/youth
building, and to make the Rectory rentable (as well as the parts they have
played in the renovation of other buildings.)
